July saw the return of TBC Leicester's premier event for creatives.
Held at the LCB Depot, the evening focused on how to approach and utilise networking situations, especially those that can appear intimidating. The majority of people in the business world have at some time attended an event and have struggled to utilise the opportunities from it.
How do you turn a situation like this into a beneficial one?
What are the tricks and turns of networking effectively?
The answers to these vital questions came in the form of Rob Brown, expert in relationship marketing. Rob gathered the creative crowd in the courtyard of the Depot and engaged their attention with his illuminating and honest approach to this familiar networking problem.
What occurred next was a crucial insight into how humans unconsciously interact.
Rob asked the array of attendees to engage in conversation with the person behind them. They were then asked to freeze in their positions. Rob weaved through the crowd to explain the different types of groups that occur at an event and how by identifying these you can successfully read a room, and make an impact.
There was a chance for people to use these new-found skills as the evening got underway. The tide of confidence was evident as the interaction levels soared and people succeeded in raising their personal and business profiles.
Rob left the congregation with some effortless tactics to keep attention and lose those unwanted new friends!
The evening proved successful as everyone left with a new outlook on those previously dreaded situations.
Rob will return in October with more insights and insider knowledge.
All those that attended the Rob Brown TBC session will receive a personal invite + 1 to the next session.
